I am a PhD student in the Department of Biostatistics at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore. I am developing statistical methods for DNA methylation data under the supervision of Dr. Kasper D. Hansen. I am also working with Dr. Elana J. Fertig in the Department of Oncology Biostatistics at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center. Our main goal is to find a method to correct for batch effects in methylation datasets. I am developing shinyMethyl, a simple and elegant R-software application for visualizing methylation data within an interactive interface.

I obtained a Bachelor’s Honours degree in Mathematics and Statistics from McGill University (Montréal, Canada), during which I was introduced to the beauty of statistics by Prof. Masoud Asgharian. I also had the unique opportunity to work with two exceptional biostatisticians, Dr. Aurelie Labbe and Dr. Celia M.T. Greenwood, to whom I am infinitely grateful for helping me discover my passion for the field of statistical genetics / genomics.
